If You Give a Moose a Muffin – with special guest, Mr. G!

Our latest installment in our Laura Numeroff study explored her book, If You Give a Moose a Muffin.  Yesterday we reviewed the concept of a circular story and talked about each of the books we’ve read so far.  Mr. G read …Moose a Muffin to his children when they were young, and so he was very excited about being able to share this story with us.  The kids were also very excited to have a special guest!  After reading, we sequenced the story and reviewed Laura Numeroff’s biography.  We talked about several facts that we learned about her.  I wrote each fact on the antlers of a moose!  Each child traced their hands to create antlers and decorated their moose face.  We worked together to write their own facts on their antlers.  Thank you to the Schrum family for providing muffins for us to enjoy!  Next Wednesday will be our last look into Numeroff’s literature as we wrap up October’s author study.
