Read Across America Day

March 2nd marked our celebration of Read Across America Day at The Summit, in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday! This special day focuses on celebrating the joy of reading and encouraging students to explore new books and ideas. Schools across the country participate to promote literacy and build a lifelong love of reading.

Our students participated in a variety of engaging activities and enjoyed dedicated time for sustained reading. Many students chose to bring books from home, making the day even more personal and exciting. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm for reading and the conversations sparked by their favorite stories.

We also had the opportunity to visit  Mrs. Bryant’s  early learners class, where we spent some time reading with the younger students. It was such a meaningful experience and a great way for our class to share their love of reading.
