This Week in 4th Grade: 3/24-3/27

Math:
This week, we focused on reviewing key concepts in preparation for the ERB. Students practiced adding and subtracting decimals and explored how decimals relate to fractions. We also reviewed important geometry concepts such as area and perimeter, along with other previously taught skills.

Reading:
We continued reading The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. Students are enjoying the story and engaging in thoughtful discussions about the characters and plot.

Writing:
Our writing time was dedicated to making final preparations for the LAD Fair. I am so proud to share that, as a class, we submitted 65 entries! Thank you for your support at home in helping students complete their projects.

Science:
We continued our unit on force and motion, building our understanding through discussion and activities.

Grammar / ERB Prep:
During grammar time, we practiced ERB-style questions, focusing on verbal reasoning, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, and word relationships. Students worked on evaluating relationships between word pairs to strengthen their critical thinking skills.
