Happy Grandfriends Day!

A huge THANK YOU to all our Grandfriends who visited the classroom today!  It was such a joy to have you! The 5th graders had a great time showing off their work from this year and teaching their Grandfriends a few things that we have learned.  I saw students giving lessons on parts of speech, British colonies in North America, finding the volume of a rectangular prism, the structure of cells, poetry, and Native American Nations among other topics.  Students also helped their Grandfriends to create some tessellation art. It is quite clear that there are some future teachers in the 5th grade group – they did a fabulous job passing on their learning!
