Week of 10/24 – 10/28

Springfield firefighters visited the lower school students today.  5th graders learned about the science of fire and how to use that knowledge to remain safe in a fire emergency.  We also learned about safety while cooking.

We’re looking forward to a great week next week.  Here’s what we’ll be working on:

Social Studies and Writing:  researching and beginning work on presentation slides for the Native American Nation project

Science:  Earthquakes and building safe structures

Math: dividing fractions

Spelling/Grammar – Verbs!

Reading: Continuing to read our novel Fatty Legs and working with summaries and character analysis
