Week of 11/7-11/11

The first trimester officially ends today, so we will spend next week wrapping up a few 1st trimester projects.  We’ll round out the week with the first trimester celebration on Wednesday, 11/9 and Parent/Teacher Conferences on Friday, 11/11.

Here’s what we’re working on:

Writing: finishing up our presentation projects and starting up a unit on expository writing

Reading: Starting up reading groups for our second novel of the year

Spelling/Grammar: Verb tenses

Science: Graphing numeric data using GoogleSheets

Social Studies: Practicing presentation skills for our Native American nations projects!

Math: check on Tuesday – Monday we will be reviewing multiplying and dividing fractions to prepare for the check.  Afterwards, we will begin our new unit on multiplication and division strategies for large, multi-digit numbers.
