Physical Education

Every month in P.E. Class, the students have a different challenge set before them. November’s challenge is called NO WALK NOVEMBER.

No Walk November challenges the students to go once around the entire track without walking or stopping. They can sprint, run, jog, skip, or gallop. There is no penalty for walking or stopping. This is just to challenge and encourage the students to focus on their cardiovascular system and strengthen their muscular endurance.

The 5th Grade class has 100% participation in this month’s challenge, and they have held the fastest class time (the time it takes the whole class to finish) three times in a row.

The 5th Grade class has improved their whole class lap time by 1 full minute since October and over that since the start of the 22-23 school year!

I am amazed with this class’s ability to encourage and challenge one another for this challenge. They still have three days left to participate, and I cannot wait to see how they will do.
