In science this week, 5th graders have been learning about the smallest units of an organism that are capable of life: cells! We have learned what they are, how they are classified, how they sometimes work together within larger organisms, and how cells can be similar and different. In groups, they are researching facts about cells to create a poster. The posters will explain the various organelles that cells contain and show the differences between plant and animal cells.
