For the second trimester, the Summit Kindergarteners study communities. They learn about the buildings, community helpers, and infrastructure that help our communities run effectively. For their trimester project, they are putting together a city in miniature.
On Tuesday and Thursday of this week, our fifth graders spent time helping the Kindergarteners to construct the buildings that the younger students designed themselves. The older students did a wonderful job proposing ideas, listening to the younger students, and helping them to cut/glue/draw/craft their mini-structures. They showed great patience and problem-solving skills in working to help achieve someone else’s vision. Thanks for being excellent community helpers, fifth graders!
