For about a week leading up to Valentines Day the students have been going to the writing center during our center time and writing Valentines cards for their classmates. This has been great practice in fine motor, utilizing their knowledge of letters, and testing their ability to copy letters themselves! I purchased a little mailbox for them to store the Valentines in until the actual holiday. They have loved it!
For the past week and a half at least one student has asked every single day if it was Valentine’s Day yet, haha! They have been SO looking forward to passing out their Valentines and enjoying the party. Their Valentine’s Day yesterday did not disappoint! The students had fun looking at each other’s boxes and matching the names written on their Valentines to the correct box. Here are some pictures from their day!
