Spirit Week Fun!

Spirit Week has flown by! Today was pajama day and EVERY single student came dressed in pajamas and Mrs. Cordel and I dressed in our pj’s as well! We were a great looking bunch!

Our letter of the week is N so naturally we thought it would be fun to do some noodle art! The students loved it!

We are always trying to incorporate social-emotional learning opportunities into our day where we can. Today to dismiss for snack time we had to choose someone to give a compliment to. First, we had to learn what a compliment was. I demonstrated to the students in a few different ways how they could compliment one of their peers. We talked about how you do not just have to compliment how someone looks or what they are wearing, you could also compliment how they are a great friend or how they make beautiful art! Then it was the students turn to practice on each other. It was heartwarming to hear some of their thoughts about each other! Some compliments were given with free hugs, haha.
