Number line, special guests, AND a dance party!

Today was an eventful day in our Early Learners Blue room! After reading our morning message and doing calendar the students were challenged with looking around the room and finding a number that is on a carpet circle. Once they found a number they were tasked with putting themselves in the correct order from 1 to 15! We have really solidified our knowledge with numbers 1-10 for the most part and have been focusing more of our time on learning numbers 11-20. The students were challenged by this activity because even if they knew their number they still needed to know which numbers to stand next to to be able to accurately place themselves in line.

We had two wonderful visitors to our classroom today, Ms. Eleanor and Ms. Sophia from Mrs.  Collins’ second grade classroom! Eleanor was our Head of School for the day and Sophia was her assistant. Sophia read the Dr. Seuss book ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ to the students and they loved it!

Later in the afternoon after rest time we went outside to the backyard for an all school dance party that was put on by our new Head of School and assistant Head of School for the day! The students were SO excited and had so much fun dancing and playing with their friends!
