Q-tip painting and number games!

This week in the Early Learners Blue room we are learning about the letter Q. To start off our learning I decided the students could paint the letter Q with something that starts with a Q…a Q-Tip! As always, the students enjoyed using something different to paint with other than a paint brush!

This morning we played an engaging number game that the students really seemed to enjoy! I gave each student a card. The top of the card had a number and the bottom of the card had either a dice, ten frame, or picture of hands with a certain number of fingers held up that the students had to count. When I had passed out all the cards I then challenged the students to go and find their missing half! This activity got the students up and moving around, kept them engaged, allowed them to practice one-to-one correspondence and their numeracy knowledge while working with their peers!
