All about ladybugs and plant journaling!

This week we have focused on the life cycle of the ladybug. For many of the students it was their first time learning the life cycle of the ladybug! We watched an interesting video showing every detail of the changes that the ladybug goes through from an egg all the way to adult ladybug. Then the students had to cut and paste the correct sequence on their papers.

We read Eric Carle’s book ‘The Grouchy Ladybug’ and talked about what makes us grouchy! The students then made an adorable ladybug craft that we will display in our room once everyone has finished. It is going to bring about a lot of laughter I think!

Today we worked on our one-t0-one correspondence in math while adding dots onto our ladybugs!

After the students completed their ladybug math they grabbed their journals and their plants and drew a picture of their plant and wrote some key words about their plants progress!
