High School Update: February 9th – 13th

Algebra 1 

We are covering some integral higher-level math concepts involving exponents and rationalization. Various instances of exponent rules have been covered and we are discovering what to do in order to not have square roots in our denominators.

Algebra 2 

We are just about done with our logarithm section and we have almost given all of our presentations about its uses in real life. We’ve covered a variety topics including: Half Lives, Carbon Dating, Decibel Levels, Earthquakes and Lighting Balances in Photography! Thank you to all of our students for doing in-depth research, I’m confident we will go into our test confident and come our successful.

I wanted to give a special shout out to all of the parents in our SPO organization as they have truly made this week special with their efforts to display their appreciation towards teachers. Your effort has been greatly appreciated from all of the teachers and especially myself as a first year teacher. Thank YOU for all you do behind the scenes and the effort you put in.
