Social Studies Update

Students in political science combined classes on Wednesday to share their campaigns with their peers. We had one crew who chose to run for city council, demonstrating a strong understanding of local issues. Another two teams ran for Missouri governor and shed light on some significant issues within our state. Three final groups campaigned for the Presidency and tackled nationwide challenges. Students will spend time reflecting on this process and considering the persuasive nature of their peers’ presentations. From here, we’re going to finish up our study of presidential debates, and then we’ll begin our unit on the Missouri Constitution.
