Social Studies Update

Students in political science are taking turns discussing Missouri government and elected officials, current events, and preparing for their final exam. Their exam will take place next Wednesday, May 6th; closely modeled on the citizenship test, it covers material from throughout the class.

In counterfactual history, students are presenting their last few “what if” questions to the class. We’ve explored a wide array of topics this semester, and it’s been fantastic to see growth in students’ research, presentation, and critical thinking skills. We’ve worked to practice curiosity, discuss topics with civility, and go down rabbit trails previously unexplored. I’m grateful for this group!
