Learning Resilience with The Little Butterfly That Could

In a recent SEL lesson, students explored the story, The Little Butterfly That Could by Ross Burach. This adorable tale of a butterfly migrating 200 miles to reach the flowers illustrates the themes of resilience and perseverance. Students enjoyed the humor throughout the book and admired the butterfly’s determination to keep fluttering forward despite the odds. After the story, the Adventurers colored their own butterflies and wrote sayings they want to remember when they are working through challenges.
