Comparing Folktales

In reading so far this year, the fifth graders have been reading folktales from around the world.  We have been using them to introduce and reinforce literary vocabulary and features that we will use throughout the school year when discussing fiction.  Today, the fifth graders began working on a chart comparing origin, setting, conflict type, and moral of several stories we have read.  Next week, we will use other organizers like venn diagrams to compare and contrast stories.
