Upper School Outdoor Adventure

Our upper school students traveled to Two Rivers Bike Park for an inaugural experience as part of our  Outdoor Education Initiative. Students began by learning real details with topographic maps, built 3d topographic designs using modeling clay and then concluded the day with a scavenger hunt throughout the park. While the day may have begun as a grey and drizzly, the weather and temperature was near perfect! This experience was lead through our partnership with 37 N. The Two Rivers Bike Park provided an excellent back drop with its diverse landscape of steep and shallow hills, rivers, and identifiable landmarks (like the gathering barn where the adventure started). This experience was the first of several as we begin to develop our outdoor education curriculum. Features of this curriculum will include elective offerings for our high school students during the 24-25 school year. What an exciting opportunity for our students and a great way to spend an afternoon outdoors on a beautiful spring day.
