Political Science Update

Political science students have been busy! Over this week and last, they have completed their assessments on landmark Supreme Court cases and have spent time discussing the Supreme Court’s emergency docket, as well as the President’s power to use executive orders. Prior to break, they are also putting the final touches on their comparative government essays, which they peer-reviewed last week. Through these various projects, students continue to progress in research, writing, note-taking, study, critical thinking, and application skills. It’s been fantastic to see the way our multi-grade level classrooms support student growth, as senior and junior students have been offering support to the newer members of our high school class and demonstrating excellent leadership.

Our next project will examine political issues, per student choice, through the perspectives of three political parties. Students will be researching and presenting their findings to the class.
