Medical Explorers & Student Volunteers at Cox Health

Eighth grade and high school students learned more about Cox Health’ Medical Explorers program for students age 14-21 years old and opportunities for Student Volunteers (age 15 and up) this morning.   Medical Explorers is ideal for anyone interested in learning more about various careers in the medical field while still offering a lot of flexibility with scheduling time for rotations.  Medical Explorers is offered through Scouting America (formally Boy Scouts), costs $110.00 to participate for one year ($75 per year after that).  This fee includes medical scrubs and a Cox Id that allows students to pick from several areas within the hospital. Applications are accepted 3 times a year, with the next deadline on Dec. 29, 2025.   Let Mrs. Breckner know if you would like an application, or to learn more about this program.
