Good afternoon! As the 4th official day of school starts , let’s take a look back at how last week went.
The first day of school was such a success — all the teachers and students got accustomed to the lay of the Upper School land and to moving around for classes all day. On Friday, we launched our in-house Leadership Ranch activities, where students learned valuable lessons and discovered what it takes to accomplish goals and tasks as a group. Then we got to enjoy some downtime at the end of the day while we battled the heat!
In Spanish, we got our brains working by reviewing some vocabulary. We used it to explain how our summers went and to build simple question-and-answer sentences for basic conversation — a great way to bring our brains back into the full swing of things! We also put our group-building skills to use, taking our classmates’ words and working together to form sentences out of them. In class on Monday we started talking about Phonetics and learning how words are structured together and sound.
