Last week, we learned that scientists ask questions and make observations. Today, we learned that a magnifying glass is one type of tool scientists use to observe. Students found an object in the room and sketched it. Then, they used a magnifying glass to see it up close and sketched the new details they found when they zoomed in on their object.

The Adventures also learned that beakers are used to hold, measure, and mix liquids during science experiments. They enjoyed drawing, coloring, and labeling a beaker in their writing journals. Next up during discovery time, we will cover science lab safety before our first experiment on Friday!
