Middle School Math

6th Grade

In sixth grade math, students are wrapping up some learning on rates. It is easy to put these ideas into real-world contexts, so we have been talking a lot about prices, speeds, and measurements.  Sixth graders are getting great at recognizing a good deal! They will demonstrate their learning with a quiz on Tuesday.

Integrated Math

Dilations and similarity have been the focus in Integrated Math. Dilations enlarge or shrink a figure, while maintaining its other characteristics. These dilations create similar figures. After a quiz on Monday, we will begin learning about slope.

Algebra

In honor of the spooky season, unit 2 is a MONSTER! It is a long unit, but there is a lot to learn about equations, inequalities, and systems in two variables. We are finally nearing the end of our work with equations. Then we will build on that learning as we begin inequalities.
