Algebra 2

Students in the Algebra 2 class have recently been exploring rules for exponents. Using those rules they then developed proposals for the meaning of rational exponents. Figuring out that they mean to both take a root and then raise to a power (or vice versa) was our end result. Students then spent some time learning how to input these operations correctly into a calculator before testing their knowledge in IXL and Kahoots. Graphing and finding solutions to equations with roots is our next application of this learning.
