Sixth and Seventh Grade Spanish Updates

Sixth and seventh grade students both just survived their first Spanish “Fun Page,” also known as a unit assessment. Students did an excellent job of showing the knowledge they gained during the first few months of the school year.

Our next thematic unit for sixth graders will be En la cocina, or in the kitchen. Students will:

  • Talk about actions done in a kitchen
  • Name items found in a kitchen
  • Give directions to follow a recipe
  • Use adjectives to describe food

Seventh graders have begun their next unit, Mi rutina diaria, or My Daily Routine. Students will:

  • Describe their daily routines
  • Talk about personal hygiene
  • Talk about where they went in the past
  • Express their likes and interests

Middle schoolers are also well underway with their next culture project. Students are working in groups to create a short Spanish film that incorporates both humor and a cultural focus on a Spanish-speaking country.
