American History II
Students in the American History II class are wrapping up their research presentations on the Great War. They did an impressive job with both the research side and the communication side of these presentations, seeking depth of understanding. They included key terms, essential questions, and thesis statements in their slideshow, encouraging their classmates to be engaged with the material and take strong notes. Some engaged their peers through active questioning while presenting, and it was really exciting to see their growth in confidence and understanding.
Students will study the Roaring Twenties prior to an exam on December 13th. They should each be proud of their learning this semester!
Ancient Africa and Egypt Elective
Students in this elective chose three separate UNESCO World Heritage sites in Africa to study over the past several weeks, and they began their presentations yesterday. These sites give key insight to the culture and religion of a variety of regions in Africa, and students are doing a great job of conducting research to understand their significance.
