Wrapping up Novel Studies in Language Arts

Over the past week, all Middle School students have finished the novels that we have been studying these past few weeks. 6th graders finished with their study of “The Diary of Anne Frank” and are currently working on their final projects to consolidate and demonstrate their knowledge of Anne’s life and story.

It may have been an ambitious undertaking, but 7th and 8th grade finished “Little Women” this week. This classic of American literature has entertained and uplifted readers for almost 200 years. It is full of life lessons, morals, and domestic drama and can be read at different stages in life and relate in different ways to different characters. They also embarked today on their project for the novel. It will be a group project and the students were excited to get started. I’m always amazed by their creativity and can’t wait to see what they come up with!
