This week, we’re learning about Mesopotamian cities and empires, including the Akkadian and Babylonian. We’ll discuss the Epic of Gilgamesh and the Code of Hammurabi, in addition to power acquisition in this era. Today, in a discussion of division of labor, sixth and seventh grade students shared careers of interest, including: real estate, interior design, neurobiology, architecture, civil engineering, dance, culinary arts, military/defense, invention, art, law, and athletics. It’s always fun to learn what students want to explore as they get older!
