Social Studies Update

Middle school students are beginning a new collaborative research project this week. Students in eighth grade are examining, comparing, and contrasting the Tang and Song Dynasties. They used some time today to divide up responsibilities and categories of research, and they’ll continue working on this project for the next week or so.

Sixth and seventh grade students are doing a similar project, but they’re examining the Tang and Song dynasties, the Mongol Empire, and the Vikings. They made some great progress today! I’m excited to see their research come together and for their presentation skills to be put to work.
