Shout out to Mr. Starkey (Upper School Math Faculty) for coordinating a great experience for our 7-8th grade students at Missouri S & T earlier this week!! Students learned about the Electrical and Computer Engineering Programs, toured the Factory Automation Center and heard a few helpful tips to consider for high school when choosing their classes in a few years. The students and faculty at Missouri S & T are involved in research with fiber optic cables in football helmets used to assess concussions and other traumatic head injuries and shared how the technology is working. After a short break and lunch at the campus student union, we were able to tour and meet with several students/professors in the Geological Engineering, Geology & Geophysics and Petroleum Engineering Programs too!!
