Final Short Story in ELA

We read our final short story this week! Soon, we will be demonstrating our interactions with and knowledge of the stories through a variety of projects.

To engage with your student, you could ask them:

what short story we read this week,
the major plot points from the story (key to summarizing!),
how well their group worked together,
which creative project option and story they are thinking about choosing, and
Sixth and seventh grades: how the Missouri weather this week was similar/different from “All Summer in a Day”.
Eighth grade: who/what they believe should be accountable for the entitlement/neglect of the children and outcome for the parents in “The Veldt”.
