Outdoor Ed.: Bushcraft Elective

In the Outdoor Ed. Bushcraft elective students have been progressing through the fire unit. Students have learned about the needs of fire through the fire triangle, the various types of fuel necessary, and log arrangements to fit a specific purpose. They also have explored using different types of fire starters and safely putting out a fire. Last week students were able to enjoy a treat once they built their fire and also were visited by a special guest speaker, Don Brink, who taught students additional primitive means of starting fires as well as other tips and tricks.
