Middle School Math Update – Welcome Back!

I hope that you all had a restful and fulfilling break. As we ease back into the school year this week, we are mostly looking back at what we’ve covered and looking ahead into our next sections.

6th Grade

After gaining some self-appreciation towards the hard work that was put in during the fall semester across a multitude of topics, we’ll be getting into what a variable is and how they are used in every day life. This will be the foundation for most of their math for the foreseeable future so we’re likely to stay on this topic for a bit to ensure full understanding.

7th Grade

Picking back up on where we left off, many student couldn’t quite recall our Intro to Algebra section so we’ll be recapping over those topics (slope-intercept, graphing etc.).

8th Grade – Algebra

After a brief review on how intersecting lines can be calculated and a general refresh on all things graphing, we’ll be moving on real-world modeling of systems of equations.
