Finishing Book Reports

SIXTH AND SEVENTH GRADE: We are continuing to review foundations such as punctuation and parallel structure. With book reports due this week, students have been given time in class to finish those. By the end of this week and into next week, students will present the information about the book and their recommendation to their peers.

EIGHTH GRADE: We have been working on developing short stories that we will workshop (group peer review) later this week. Next week, book reports and presentations will be due!

To engage with your student, you could ask them:

  • what book they are reading for their first book report;
  • what LAD Fair categories they have completed their entries for; and
  • specifically for eighth grade: what their short story is about.
