Summer @ The Summit

Summer is right around the corner, and we have some exciting opportunities planned just for you! Whether you’re looking to try something new, hang out with friends, get creative, or challenge yourself in a new way, there’s something for everyone. This is your chance to make the most of your summer, have fun, and create some great memories along the way. Camp Raven is open to Summit students as well as community members. Invite your friends, and let’s make it a summer to remember! Use this link to register.

Papier Mache (June 1-3, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm)

Get ready to build big and get messy! Campers will use papier mâché to create fun, sculptural projects while learning how to build strong forms and add creative details. This camp is all about imagination, hands-on making, and bringing ideas to life.

Printmaking (June 1-3, 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm)

Explore the art of printmaking through hands-on projects and creative experimentation. Campers will try different printing techniques, play with patterns and textures, and create original works of art. Perfect for students who love process-based art and trying new techniques.

Baking Bonanza (June 8-10, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm)

If you loved it last year, you will love it even more this year! Join us for a delicious and fun-filled “Baking Bonanza Camp,” where campers will explore the art of baking over three exciting days! Each day will feature hands-on baking sessions, skill-building activities, and delicious treats to enjoy and share. Plus, every camper will receive their very own recipe book filled with all the recipes they create during camp!

Pin Pals (June 11, 1:00-3:00 pm)

Kick off summer with a fun meet-up at the bowling alley—hang out with friends, play some games, and show off your best strikes (or funniest gutter balls).

Stop Motion Animation (June 15-18, 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm)

Bring your ideas to life through animation! Campers will create short stop motion movies using drawings, paper, and found objects while learning the basics of movement and storytelling.

Guided Hike (June 20, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm)

Join us for a guided hike at the Springfield Nature Center on Saturday, June 20 from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., designed for students entering grades 5–8. Participants will explore the local trail with Mrs. Bowsher while learning about native plants, wildlife, and ecosystems. Along the way, students will engage in hands-on observations and outdoor challenges that make nature learning fun and interactive.  Note: 5th-8th graders only

Mural Camp Session 1 (June 22-26, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm)

Help install a large-scale mural as a team! Campers will paint, refine details, and see the project through to completion. Students will experience what it’s like to be part of a collaborative art project from start to finish.

Mural Camp Session 2 (July 6-10, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm)

Help install a large-scale mural as a team! Campers will paint, refine details, and see the project through to completion. Students will experience what it’s like to be part of a collaborative art project from start to finish.

Join us for a fun-filled day at BigShots Golf! Students will enjoy 1.5 hours of golf, games, and social time in a high-energy setting, plus a buffet to keep everyone fueled and ready to swing. It’s the perfect mix of friendly competition, connection, and fun.

Calling All Ninjas (July 15, 2:00 pm -4:00 pm)

Join us for a high-energy afternoon at Springfield Warrior Sports! Students will have time to hang out with friends while tackling obstacle courses and testing their agility, balance, and strength at their own pace. It’s all about fun, movement, and a little friendly challenge in an exciting, open-play setting.

Golf Mini-Series (July 16-17, 8:00-9:30 am)

Join us for a fun and focused golf camp at Rivercut Golf Course! Campers will build skills and confidence through time on the driving range and guided play on the course, plus receive a one-hour private group lesson for personalized instruction. It’s a great opportunity for middle and high school golfers to sharpen their game in a supportive, small-group setting. Please bring or borrow golf clubs, if possible. If not, the course can provide some for us. Note: 5th-8th graders only

Esports (July 21-23, 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm)
