Sixth grade students ventured to Wonders of Wildlife this morning for a field trip for their ecology and geography classes! We had a great time exploring the aquarium and museum and mapping out the native locations for various animal life.
Seventh grade students have been exploring westward expansion and its effects over the last several days. We took a few minutes to explore the classic Oregon Trail game, discussed the route and impact of the transcontinental railroad, and read a primary source about the extermination of the American bison together in class. They’ve had great questions as we’ve covered this unit, demonstrating strong critical thinking.
Eighth grade students have made progress on their research presentations over abolitionists in the few class periods they have had history this week. On both Wednesday and Thursday, these students were enjoying their planned and long-awaited eighth grade trip!
