Middle School Art

6th grade is off to a fantastic creative start to Art class. Students created two small free form stamps, and using ink turned them into bold rhythmic patterned prints full of energy and discovery. This project’s visual foundation was reviewing elements of art and introducing elements of design.

7th and 8th grade kicked off the year with energy with a two-hand drawing exercise. Students held two matching drawing tools, one in each hand, and made mirrored marks at the same time. This powerful exercise wakes up both sides of the brain, loosens control, and helps students trust their instincts. This tandem drawing builds creativity confidence and mind-body awareness.
