Last week in the Middle School Outdoor Elective, Nature Stewardship, students were visited by a guest speaker. Sa'dia Luallen-Blattert is a Grow Native certified professional with her own native landscaping design business, Pollen to Petal. Students learned about an obligate specialist, the monarch, and then planted native flowers and grasses in the Big Backyard that will act as nectar and cover sources for the migrating monarchs.
