By March 3rd, students need to have the following at school:
- Tri-fold
- Any pictures from the experiment
- Any decorations, colored paper, or other things they would like to add to their tri-fold
- Data from their experiment
This means that experiments need to be completed by the end of February. Students will complete their science fair projects during science class.
Students are encouraged, but not required, to enter the science fair. If your student would like to compete, let Mr. Powers know and he will provide the required paperwork.
Important Dates:
02/24/2020 – Entry deadline for the Science Fair. Students can register while at school, or you can use this link to register. We are a member school, so there is no individual fee when registering.
02/26/2020 – All paperwork is due for the Science Fair
03/03/2020 – All results, data, tri-fold, and related materials must be at school so that we can complete the tri-folds during class time.
03/24/2020 – Science Fair: Setup is from 3:00-6:00. From 6:00-8:00 judging happens. Students stand by their tri-folds, ready to answer questions from judges during this time.
03/26/2020 – Science Fair Awards Ceremony from 6:00-8:00.
NOTE: The official 2020 schedule has not been posted, though the dates have been. It is assumed that the fair will follow the same schedule as it has in years past, Tuesday being the day of judging and Thursday being the day for awards. If this proves to be different, I will immediately send out an updated schedule.
