Math Fundamentals – 6th Grade
Our 6th graders have been busy learning real-world skills like calculating tips and understanding percentages. They’re also exploring geometry by measuring angles and getting hands-on practice with protractors.
Integrated Math – 7th Grade
7th graders are diving deeper into geometry by exploring angles, triangles, and polygons. They’ve been learning how to calculate the sum of interior angles in different shapes and applying that knowledge to solve problems.
Foundations for Algebra – 8th Grade
Our 8th graders have been hard at work exploring the Pythagorean Theorem and using trigonometry to calculate sides and angles of right triangles with SOHCAHTOA. They’ve gained a solid understanding of how math applies to the world around them, and we wrapped up the unit with some fun and practical outdoor activities. Using homemade clinometers, students measured the height of trees and calculated the angle of the sun, putting their new skills to the test in a real-world setting—it was an awesome way to see math come to life!
