On Monday, we went over unit 5 Test together and worked out problems together. We explored 1) inscribed angles discovering that they are one-half measure of the corresponding central angle, 2) an inscribed triangle (in a circle) with a diameter as a side is a right triangle, 3) perpendicular bisectors of a chord go through the center of circle. Wednesday, we created inscribed and circumscribed circles within/about any given triangle using angle bisectors and perpendicular bisectors respectively. Next week, we will use coordinate geometry to explore the equations of circles and find their centers and radii.
ELA Week 4: Stories about the power of and in communities
For sixth and seventh grade students, we are completing our reading of nine, ten: A September 11 story. Mid-week, we thought about the purpose each
