Updates from the Art Room

It’s been an exciting first few weeks of school!
Fourth through Eighth graders have already finished their first projects exploring positive and negative space, and depth. Check them all out!

Lower Elementary, Early Learners – 3rd grade, started the year with drawing a self portrait and then we used warm colors to paint the face and hair and painted our backgrounds with cool colors.  2nd and 3rd grade students created a 3-D house sculpture this week and all students watched a video introducing Thank you X, an artist who creates murals using a cube shape.  Each class in lower elementary will be creating a cube and they will all be displayed together.  Photos will be coming soon.
