Math Fundamentals – 6th Grade

Our 6th graders have been diving into the foundations of fractions. We explored key concepts like factor pairs, prime factorization, and finding the lowest common denominator. Working on these foundations will strengthen their understanding, setting the stage for more complex fraction operations in the future.

Integrated Math – 7th Grade

This week, our 7th graders have been busy comparing ratios and calculating slopes. We practiced finding equivalent ratios and applied our skills to determine distances between cities using map scales. The hands-on activities really helped solidify their understanding, making math both fun and practical.

Foundations for Algebra – 8th Grade

This week, our 8th graders explored the world of calculating interest. Through a hands-on project, students researched savings account interest rates from local banks and compared potential earnings across various scenarios. It was a fantastic way to see how math applies to real-life financial decisions.
