Social Studies Update

Sixth grade students have been presenting on major Greek figures (fact and fiction) this week. As part of these presentations, we’re practicing giving constructive feedback in a supportive tone.

Seventh and eighth grade students are presenting their comparative government research, which most conducted in teams of two. We’ve learned about government structures, key leaders and their rise to power, economies, major wars, military sizes and structures, borders, and more.

Students in culinary arts just had one class this week, but we used our time well to construct some very tasty soft pretzels. This crew is excellent about jumping in to a new recipe, working together as a team, helping with kitchen clean up, and more. They especially enjoy tasting and sharing the product of their hard work at the end of class.
