Exciting Announcement: Culture Day is Coming!

Dear Families,

We are excited to share that this Friday marks Culture Day, a cherished tradition at the Summit! This year’s theme is “Celebrating the Spirit of South America,” and our middle school and high school Spanish students have been hard at work in groups to design and create engaging stations that highlight the diverse cultures of the continent.

Our talented middle schoolers not only designed the stations themselves but will also be running them during the event, showcasing their knowledge and passion for the cultures they represent. We will feature eight dynamic stations, each representing a different country: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Each station will offer a unique experience, showcasing various aspects of these cultures through:

  • Cultural Crafts: Creative activities that reflect traditional art forms.
  • Games and Sports: Fun games that are popular in each country.
  • Music: A glimpse into the rhythms and sounds that define these cultures.
  • Snacks: Tasty samples of authentic foods that provide a flavor of South America.

This event is an exciting opportunity for students in grades Early Learners through 12th grade to learn about and celebrate the vibrant cultures of South America, all guided by their peers. We encourage students to engage with each station and immerse themselves in the rich traditions represented.

Thank you for your continued support of our Spanish program. We look forward to a fantastic Culture Day filled with learning and fun!

Hasta pronto, or until next time!
