Getting to Know You

The past week has been filled with lots of activities where students are asked get to know you questions and to share this information with others. We are slowly getting started with a short map review unit in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classes. It is important we build the community classroom and students feel comfortable learning. I prioritize relationships at the beginning of school to model this. Ask your students about some of the cooperative activities we have completed in class.

This hexagon activity we completed in the 7th/8th grade class gave us an opportunity to see how we are all connected by our interests and showcase that with some artistic abilities.
