We had six middle school students choose to compete in History Bowl at Morrisville last Thursday! They stayed after school often, studied at lunch frequently, and asked great questions as they worked diligently to prepare. I’m so proud of their efforts in competing against some of the largest schools in our area.

In sixth grade, students are learning about Rome. Each student has chosen an element of this empire to research and share with the class, putting their skills of critical analysis to work.

In seventh grade, students have been preparing for an assessment related to the American government and its organizational structure. They took their test Friday morning. This week, we’ll cover early American history, post-Revolutionary War and build up to the fracture points that led to the Civil War.
In eighth grade, students completed their research and presentations on issues in American government. Issues ranged from drug policy, childcare costs, healthcare costs, 988 funding, cost of living, climate change, and healthy eating habits. They did a great job practicing their use of data to support their understanding of complex issues.
