Thoughts about Second Trimester

Rosalind:  “I liked the Iroquois because more than one family could live in a longhouse.”

Will:  “I love field trips because we ride buses and see interesting stuff.”

Emmy:  “I like learning about clouds because they bring water and water is important.”

Garret:  “I liked the Inuit because they lived in igloos and we’re going to make one.”

Grace K.:  “My favorite tribe is the Iroquois, the first one that we learned. I like it because corn with butter is my favorite food, and I like the way the longhouse is built.”

Maddie:  “I like the Maidu’s house becuase you can go on a ladder to climb out and it looks really cool.”

John Paul:  “My favorite tribe was the Maidu, Tlingit, Iroquois, Seminole, and Inuit. The Tlingit wear crazy hats.  The Iroquois had two floors in the long house.  I like hte Maidu becuase they have an underground home. The Seminole I like becuase the chickee kind of looks different from all the other homes.

Anna:  “I like learning about the tribes because I like learning about their customs and art. You can learn interesting things and what they are called.”

Levi:  “I liked learning about the Nez Perce. I liked them because they had spear for hunting.”

Grace Y.:  “I like learning about clouds because they look cool and they are different shapes.”

Dayae:  “I liked when we did the Native American posters because I like drawing and coloring.”

Nathan:  “I liked making a teepee because I got to cut it out and it was fun.”

Gage:  “I like the Tlingit because they have a cool plank house. I like the Nez Perce because their matt teepee is really cool.”

Charlotte:  “I liked going to the pottery place and making pottery.”
